At the time taken, the automatic outdoor lighting had just come on. 💖 Love how the lights give this sweet space some extra sparkle. As you can see, the grass hadn't recovered yet, but you can imagine how it will all look next spring!

Here's the lower patio seating area with Techoblu pavers and Boral veneer walls, capped with flagstone. The custom cedar pergola really completes this area, and makes it feel like it's own room. Although the grass hasn't quite recovered, I wanted to also show the natural stone slaps that give access to lower side yard. .

In the background, you can see we built a C shaped bar around his current grill. This gives the #grillmaster some prep space, and allows for family and friends to sit at the bar while he's grilling, to advise and sample.😋 We also left space for a new grill, since he was planning to upgrade soon. Note: The bright orange flags belong to a putting green on the other side of the wall. You can see it best in my last post. .

This gas fire pit has great flames, and zero ash cleanup! 🧡 We've noticed a trend towards more of our clients choosing the convenience of gas fire pits, over classic woodburning. They prefer to just turning it on whenever they want . . . and not having to mess with buying firewood, keeping the fire going, ash clean up, and the inevitable charred-wood smell in their hair. 🔥However, we still get a few wood-burning diehards that love the crackle of a wood fire, and enjoy throwing trash in to watch how it burns. .

These synthetic stone slabs look great with the natural stone elements, and are serving two purposes here; first as a step, and second extending out as a low retaining wall for the minimal grade change.

Another angle of this xeriscaped courtyard. Here we are looking from our clients home to the side of her neighbors house. The ground cover pebbles are TN River Gravel, with stepper pathways in natural flagstone. Across the middle we used Techobloc Rocka slabs in Rock Garden Brown to serve as a step and low retaining wall for the minimal grade change.

Just realized, I forgot to post a closeup of the pergola with retractable awning that I featured last week. I wanted to share this pic to point out the gutter that helps direct water to the copper #rainchain. Love that it's so well designed you'd hardly notice it is there, but even better, it is serving an key purpose. By redirecting water away from the structure, it is helping to extend the life of both the awning and pergola. What a good little gutter! 😉
